First class nerves? Don't worry!
Before your first class
Everything you need to know, so you can just turn up and enjoy it.
What to wear & bring
- A full water bottle. There's no drinking water at Lovat Hall during their renovations, so please fill up before you come.
- Clothes you can move freely in, that let your skin breathe: gym wear, joggers, leggings, shorts, a t-shirt.
- Trainers or baseball boots. Running shoes aren't ideal, as their deep tread tends to stick to the floor.
- In colder months, an extra top or cardigan for the first song or two while we warm up.
- A supportive bra. Sports bras are best.
Who can do Zumba?
ZUMBA is suitable for ages 12+ (Zumba Toning is 16+). The moves use your whole body, but if you have any physical injuries or issues, tell me before the class and I can give you alternative moves.
Your health
If you have any medical conditions, please check with your doctor that it's safe for you to take part in a Zumba class. These include (but aren't limited to):
- dizzy spells
- high blood pressure
- joint or back problems
- chest pains or a heart condition
- bone or muscle problems
- pregnancy or post-pregnancy
- previous or current injuries
Please let me know about any of these or any other conditions, any medication you depend on (for example insulin for diabetes or an asthma inhaler), and any allergies.
